Your Destination. Your Dates. Your Kind of Vacation.
Because not everyone dreams of traveling the same way.

Travel PlanningHave you ever noticed how two people can dream about visiting the exact same destination but imagine two completely different vacations?
Let's take Italy, for example.
One person dreams of Rome, Florence, Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast. They want to see everything! Early mornings, full days, sightseeing, tours, and as many experiences as they can fit into their time away.
Someone else dreams of Italy a little differently.
They picture leisurely mornings, wandering through a Tuscan village, enjoying a wonderful meal at a little restaurant, or sitting with a glass of wine and simply taking in the scenery.
They still want to explore. They still want to experience Italy. They just don't want every minute of their vacation planned.
And you know what?
Both sound like wonderful vacations to me!
The difference isn't the destination. It's how each person wants to experience it.
And that's something I think matters when planning a trip.
You Don't Have to Take a Cruise to Travel With Me
Now, y'all know I love a good cruise!
I love waking up somewhere new, exploring different destinations, and especially bringing people together on my hosted journeys.
But here's something you might not realize.
You don't have to take a cruise, and you don't have to join one of my groups, to plan your vacation with me.
Over the years, I've helped travelers plan all kinds of vacations, from ocean and river cruises to European land adventures, guided tours, and customized itineraries.
Some travelers want to explore several destinations, while others prefer to settle in and really experience a place.
I've helped put together trips that combine different cities, accommodations, transportation, and special experiences, all based on what those travelers wanted from their vacation.
And sometimes a guided tour is exactly the right choice, especially when someone wants to explore several destinations without having to figure out all the arrangements themselves.
That's what I love about travel planning. There isn't just one way to experience the world, and there shouldn't be just one way to plan a vacation.
Sometimes the Wish List Is Longer Than the Vacation
Here's something that happens quite often.
Someone has a week or eight days to travel, but their list of places they want to see could easily fill two or three weeks.
And I understand! When you've dreamed about visiting a destination for years, you want to see everything.
But sometimes trying to fit too much into one trip means spending more time getting from place to place than actually enjoying where you are.
That's where a little thoughtful planning can make a big difference.
Maybe we concentrate on a couple of regions instead of trying to cover an entire country.
Maybe a guided tour makes more sense.
Or perhaps a cruise is a wonderful way to experience several coastal destinations before deciding which ones you'd love to return to someday.
The goal isn't necessarily to see the most places.
It's to make the most of the time you have.
And What If You're Traveling With Someone Who Travels Differently?
Oh, this is a good one!
Have you ever traveled with someone who likes to know exactly what's happening, while you're perfectly happy figuring things out as you go?
Or maybe you're the planner, and your traveling companion thinks an itinerary is just a suggestion!
Neither approach is wrong.
But when you're traveling together, it's important to find a balance.
Some people feel more relaxed knowing the transportation, accommodations, and important arrangements are taken care of.
Others want plenty of free time to explore without a schedule.
And sometimes the best itinerary is a combination of both.
Because a wonderful vacation shouldn't be enjoyable only for the person who planned it.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy the journey.
That doesn't mean every traveler will want to do every activity together. Sometimes a little flexibility and independent time are exactly what a trip needs.
Your Vacation Should Fit You
Maybe you're dreaming about Greece, but you'd rather explore a couple of islands on your own instead of taking a cruise.
Maybe Alaska is calling your name, and you'd love to combine a cruise with time exploring the interior.
Maybe you've always wanted to see Italy, but you're not sure how to put the itinerary together.
Or perhaps you've been thinking about a European river cruise or a guided tour, but don't know which experience would suit you best.
That's where our conversation begins.
We talk about where you want to go, how much time you have, your budget, and what matters most to you.
And yes, sometimes I'll suggest a different approach than the one you originally had in mind.
Not because your idea was wrong, but because there may be a better way to experience what you're dreaming about.
And a wonderful vacation doesn't have to carry someone else's price tag. Different accommodations, routes, travel dates, and experiences can create very different options.
So, Where Have You Been Dreaming of Going?
Italy? Greece? Alaska? Somewhere you've been talking about visiting for years?
Maybe you've been waiting for the right time.
Maybe you're not quite sure where to start.
Or maybe you've been thinking that because I'm always talking about cruises and hosted groups, that's all I do.
Well, now you know! ❤️
Whether you want to join one of my hosted journeys or plan a vacation that's entirely your own, I'd love to help you explore the possibilities.
